| A little about the artist..... |
I am a native of the Black Hills and have been creating images with the lens of a camera since my mother gave me my first 35mm camera at a young age. At the
request of friends, self and family, I am now following my dream to provide my art for others to enjoy. I have no formal education in the photography field, but
have learned to combine what I see in my “mind’s eye” with what the camera sees to create some unique images. I believe that taking a good photograph can
trigger heartfelt emotions, and hope that the photographs you see here will somehow connect what I see, feel, and create, with the emotions of the viewer. As
an outdoors type of person, my love for the prairies of South Dakota and the Black Hills is my inspiration for making a professional career in this field. My focus
is primarily on scenic and wildlife photography, but I do offer some fine abstract work that has been described by others as being very “spiritual“. I also do "for
hire" photography. By the way..The wolves seen above are friendly acquaintances that I had the pleasure working and "running" with, while working at Bear
Country USA . The wolves have plenty of room to roam and are treated well there. They are such interesting creatures and live in a "pack" atmosphere,
following many of the wild traits they are born with. You cannot pet them, but they do come rather close at feeding time (yes, that's me) and are very curious
animals. I have enjoyed their company and plan on doing so again.
