As a native of the Black Hills, I have always been drawn to the natural beauty of this land. Every image you see here, has
stirred something within me, has triggered some emotion. I believe that the photographer captures the soul of the moment
when he creates his art, only to free that soul an instant later, while still preserving a moment that has passed, never to
return again. It is my wish that the photographs you see here will somehow connect what I see, feel, and create, with the
thoughts and emotions which harbor themselves deep within you. Placed at home or at the office, will they be a subject of
conversation? It could very well lead to a meeting with someone like minded. All it takes is for another person to feel the
emotional tug as well. A question, an answer, and a linking of minds. You stand transfixed, unable to look away. Without
realizing it, you find yourself looking, nay, staring...studying the image before you. An emotion has been awakened. The
choosing of a photograph can be as simple as turning on a faucet or as difficult as performing surgery. But no matter what
you ultimately choose, it must move you.
Choose that image which whispers to you. And when it does, listen, for it may have more to say than you think.
